Pull the stereo out set it on the ground and hit it with a sledge hammer, mine don't work either, going to an after market as soon as I decide which one to get
Yeah, i agree, you're screwed. Don't feel bad, though, mine will spit the CD out after havning only played it for a couple minutes. Other times the CD won't even play, the CD player will take a perfectly good clean CD in, then Spit it right back out. Send your stereo to doctor dons, or get yourself an aftermarket stereo. From the many posts i've read, it seems that doctor dons does a very good job of fixing the stereos back to "like new" condition.
Yeah, just another Corvette blunder that GM came up with. They are a piece of junk. The bose player that is...ha. You might check out this ebay repair site. See following link. Heard nothing bad about his repairs and one of the least expensive I have found.
I had the exact same problem when I bought my 93, I went to Dr. Don and got the CDR upgrade and I am very happy with the system. Aftermarket radios don't work well with the BOSE amp and speakers. I wanted to keep a stock look so I shipped it to Dr. Don and he sent it back in a few days. It isn't cheap but I am happy!
i know it sounds like a huge undertaking.. but rip out all the stock radio crap and put in all new.. i went down the path your about to go down because i though everyone who said rip it all out was nuts and didnt know anything... few years and serveral $$$ later I ripped it all out and am finally happier..
