What gauge power wire for amp?

What gauge power wire for amp?
I have an old amp I'm going to put in my car to power a small sub. The amp is only 150w. What gauge power wire should I use for the amp? I will probably never need to power anything that much bigger. This amp was installed in one of my cars acouple years ago and they used a 8 gauge wire. Will that do?

8 gauge is more than enough. I run about 350-400 watts on it. You can even go 10 gauge if you dont plan on expanding.
walmart is the cheapest "local place" to get wiring kits.
if you plan on going 500+ watts in the future, lay the 4 gauge now.
