They are very well made, I have to make a decision on the sub part and when I do, I will proceed with the install. For right now, I am still using the 10in subs in the doors...
Just as an FYI, the plates are only that obviously brown because of the flash. If the brown is an issue for anybody the material CAN be painted, I would just do some fine sanding to remove the shiny "plate" finish so that the paint can stick better.

The color of the plates are not a problem and like Komo said they only show up in the pic because of the flash.
