Default Beltronics RX65 Pro detector

I was searching on getting a radar dector and found an independant test that tested the best 3 dectors on the market. The Bel, Escort and V. The final conclusion is the the Beltronics RX65 Pro is the best overall. Are there anyone out there with Beltronics RX65 Pro and are you satisfied with it?

I've had one since January. It works fine with no problems. If you have an old radar detector, Bel will give you a good trade-in on their website.

I just did the same research, came to the same conclusion and just ordered the same RX65 model. I did find that you can order them brand new on e-bay for $200 plus $30 shipping and save a little money. You don't get the factory warranty if you buy on e-bay. Seller said he would warranty it, and he had over 3,000 transactions, all 100% positive feedback. But I guess you can't get everything.

Ive had my Rx 65 for 2 years and it is wonderful. Although most Vette owners prefer the V1 (another fine one) the RX did beat all others in an average of all categories..You wont go wrong especially at 1/2 price of a V1...

I have had the RX65 for about a year, paid for itself many times over. Works great.

IMHO, since this website sells the BEL and Escort units, but not the V1, I would not consider it an "independent" source of information on which unit is the best.

Good point. Where is the info that indicates V1 is tops? Thanks

Speed Measurement Laboratories:

http://www.speedzones.com/driving_impressions.html

"The Valentine One is still the champion of advanced warning to radar with its front and rear facing antenna.
Its directional arrows tell you the direction of the radar and it was the best detector in rear reception while easily
reporting both K and Ka POP modes. The Valentine One still rocks."

I have the STi and I love it! It is the ONLY detector made right now that is invisible to the Spectre radar detector detectors (rdd). Not a problem for most people but it is for me in Canada and for those in Virginia & DC.

Thanks! This was copied from that link: Bel’s RX 65 and the Bel’s STi were the only radar detectors to see instant on and constant on radar transmission in our over-the-hill test on all bands at 1/2 mile. The RX 65 trailed the Valentine One by only .2ths of a mile in rear reception with only one antenna seeing radar from the rear at 1.8 miles. In the current vernacular..awesome!

Bel’s 995 gave torrid performance reporting all radar gun bands from a dizzying nine miles. Its commanding warning saw both K and Ka POP

Based on THAT statement...I would rather have the Bel RX65 as youi have no chance with the other detectors...

Hey, I don't use a radar detector so I don't care if the V1 or Bel RX65 or whatever is rated number one. My point was that if you want independent reviews of which is better you should not go to a reviewer that sells one and not the other because they're trying to get you to buy what they sell. Radar Roy wants you to buy what he sells. SML doesn't sell radar detectors; they just test them. Their review shows that the V1 beats the Bel RX65 overall. Of course if a feature of one is more important to you then go for it. Peace.

I've had a RX65 for 2 years now and love it, it has paid for itself over and over again. It might get edged out by another radar here and there, but those radars are twice the price for marginally better performance (which is still debatable).

There will always be an arguement over which detector is best, but I don't think anyone can rightly argue which is best dollar for dollar.
