Default Still stickin' around

Wanted to let everyone know that I sold the Vette last week. Bruce picked it up on Thursday and headed back to Washington state with it. He got there just fine and said he enjoyed the drive.

I am planning to hang around here. You guys are some of the most knowledgeable and helpful people. Not to mention the wacky posts and comments keep it lively.

I had planned to start a transportation business using the money from the car sale. I'm still looking at that, but also looking at doing a Pro Touring Chevelle. You can bet I'll be posting questions and seeking opinions on the audio stuff for the Chevelle if I go that route.

I'm planning to continue to meet at our Corvette audio gatherings with hope that Scott_FX, Fej, EG, Audio Dave, and others will show up in good ol' IL.

Don't you worry Scott...I'll be stickin' around to keep things lively. I enjoyed the Vette, but I want something different now. I'll keep ya'll informed on what happens.

I did hear rumor that the owner of the race team I help out with might be selling his TT Ligenfelter Vette. I think he might want a bit more money than I want to spend though... d'oh.

Fej.... November might be a bit early...but come January, it wouldn't take much to get us midwest guys to move to Cali.

Wiz...those trick taillights went with the car. I'm excited about a new car as I can do a whole stereo install. I'm looking around but found a sweet 65 Chevelle in MI.

So...are we in agreement that October 7 would be a good time to meet? I'd like to hear from KnewBlew to see his thoughts. I know Pentavolvo wants to do burnouts to break in that new tranny of his.

Burnouts will be no problems boys, Wiz can attest that I roasted the tires a little leavin the hotel. The tranny is all broken in haha got my stupid stock hpipe on with cats so i could pass emissions. Went to put the offroad one on and apparently its bent both from scrapin it (the car is lowered) and the motors torque and we are having trbl gettin it to seal up to the header flanges. So the car sounds week and its deff restricting mad power but i can still roast em no problem, and hell i got 2 15's now boys you kno you wanna hear it.

That day works for me as long as its good for all others. I wanna hear ur truck as well

Well I will have the truck there...pounding away. It isn't like Wiz's mind blowing subs, but it does alright.

I can think of a few

I'll leave October 7th open. I REALLY want to meet you guys and I REALLY want to see Wiz's car. Maybe Scott and Fej can carpool to Illinios One of you guys will need to let me know where the meet is so I can Map Quest it. I will also need to find a cheap hotel somewhere. Or maybe, I could sleep in Dave's friend's TT Ligenfelter Vette

Hey Dave,
Glad you're sticking it out for a bit.

Last time we chatted, you were helping me bleed my buddys clutch on his '03 2500HD.
He told me it had an Allison in it and you corrected him/me on that one
The new clutch is working well (double mass flywheel) Still a little squeakiness from the throw out bearing I'd guess. But, new clutch is holding great.

I could do an Ill. meet. Several of my cousins live there in Marengo. About an hour outside Chicago.

Sounds like we have several more people coming than the last meet...rock on!

So, it sounds like October 7 works. I think the Chicago area works well. I'm hoping DPG and Pentavolvo can help me here. What do you guys think about meeting at Gameworks or Woodfield (I'm thinking of the NASCAR racing place inside). Another good place might be a Dave and Buster's.

Wasn't it a Suburban?? Either way, it was big and black and on top of your car.

I think Dave and Buster's might be fun...they have video games we can play, pool tables, good food, beer...

DPG...I am hoping this new car will be faster. Thinking either a big block or maybe an oversized 400 small block chevy with a Procharger.

Jeff,

That would be awesome to have you come. Everyone is welcome...even if you don't have a Vette or bring one with. We had a good time last meeting when Wiz, Pentavolvo, and myself got together. I can imagine it will be even more fun with more people.

Definitely, stop by for as long as you can.

What timeframe are we all thinking? I know last time we meet around 6 I believe. I can meet whenever...but wanted to be conscientious (is that spelled right) of those who are traveling here.

Dave
