Default C5 Remote Bass Controller - Mounting Location?

Hey guys,

I am on the verge of installing a new system in my '04 Z06. I am using a Power Precision amp with a Q Bass remote to run the sub. What are some suggestions on locations to install the remote. It (obviously) needs to be convenient to control while driving; but, I would like it as stealthy (is that a word?) as possible. What do ya' think?

remove the ashtray door or cig lighter and put it there. i could get even more stealthy for you...but you don't want to take on the things that run through my head!

I no it doesn't look centered when your veiwing it head on and this was a concern that I had but when its in the car it is not a pro. I made a new face plate that is longer anyway. It helps make the whole lay out more SQ.
I'll take a shot later and post it,,
The deal with where it is at is the control board that I had to cut for the active handling. Because of the layout on the board my options were limited...
It works for me....Thanks again

Great ideas, thanks.

I have a PCX 2200 to run mono for the sub. It should push 800 or so. I have a ProBox Loaded, 500 RMS sub in a custom enclosure. These things are crazy. It is built locally (near Dallas) and are handled (among others) by a friend of mine. ProBox is about to go national and are redoing their website, but here it is www.proboxloaded.com/ The subs are built for each specific enclosure by a guy that used to build for JL Audio. He said it outperforms anything JL has out. I can't wait to get it all hooked up.

I had a ProBox in my C5 - the 12inch version. It was not deep enough for a 12 inch RF Stage 2 - I had to add a 1 inch spacer. It was OK, but hardly a killer box.

Very nice EG, the sub they are making to load them with is paired with the volume in the box. That is why I chose to get it loaded. What amp do you have in that install?

I do have dual zone A/C, but is there any way to relocate that sensor so the bass controller can go in that hole?

hmm, never thought about that. it looks pretty delicate and i bet it's programmed to adjust the temp based on the readings at that spot so moving it higher or lower may throw it off
