Default Amp Location Suggestions

I recently purchased my 2002 ZO6. The previous owner installed a pretty nice system (plenty for me) in the car. It consists of an alpine cd h/u (9857 I think is the model..has full speed ipod capability), kicker components in the doors, and a JL stealth box in the back..powered by 2 phoenix gold amps. One of the amps is mounted under the passengers seat, the other is mounted behind the passengers seat on that wall the seat normally rests against when all the way back.
Well when I have taller passengers in the car or when my girlfriend is driving, it would be nicer to move the seat back all the way.
I want to relocate that amp to the area between the partition and the hump behind the front seats (shelf area). I don't want to drill holes in the car so I was thinking maybe find some light weight masonite or something and build a small rectangle shelf (like the vette tray that a sponsor sells) and put the amp under that to conceal it.
Has anyone done anything like this? I'm trying to make the system components as 'stealthy' as possible, but I'd leave some slits on the front back and sides of the 'shelf' to help to ventilate the amp. If anyone has any other ideas feel free to shoot them at me, but so far this is the best 'idea' I have come up with.

I wish I could mount mine there, but unless it's a slim amp, nothing will fit there in a Z06. I have always liked that mounting spot the best, but since the guys with the Z's can do that, the best place would probably be right behind the seats on the other side of the hump. Similar to this:

i dont know the size of the amp but you could have the passnger seat always in the far back position to allow max. legroom and then mount the amp in front of the seat almost to the point that part of the amp is under the seat.

a pssnger would naturally have their feet and legs over the amp. you could then cover the amp and leave the sides open to ventilate it.

ive never done this in a vette but ive done it in a single cab truck and in a honda civic and it worked just fine because no one positiions their feet right in front of the seat, its dead space. plus with a cover, its 100percent garantee that no scuff marks will be left

thats where i had my "amps" in my last install. just make sure your build the rack so that; in the event of an accident, it can't flip up and kill you. i had a vert and the waterfall protected me, but with your i would definately make sure that you made it so wide that it will get stuck in the event of an accident. oh...and mine weren't bolted down and they never moved.

you can see pics of mine in my sig

Or you could try this as an alternative (another old install)

Thanks for the input guys.

NVTHIS is on the right track to where I wanted to mount the amp that is currently behind the seat. There is already an amp under the seat powering the components up front ...this one I'm trying to relocate is mounted pretty close to the floorboard (the connections of both amps are close together). The problem with the amp I'm trying to relocate is that it's pretty long so it comes halfway up the seatback.
I'm going to go by and talk to an installer I've used before here in town and see what they recommend when I get off work later today.
