I have already bought and installed this hu, Pioneer Premier DEH-P680MP.
Now I want to replace my speakers add an amp and sub. The guys that I bought th hu from sells JL and Pioneer Premier speakers, subs, and amps. One guy in the shop said I should go with components in the front and another guy said he didnt think it would make that much difference.
So my questions are:
Component or not.
Which JL or Pioneer speaker to go with.
How big an amp.
How big of a sub. (Sub will be installed in center hatch in a box from subthump)
I would love to stay around $1250.00 including install.
I just put a Pioneer Premier TS-W3002SPL driven by a PRS-D2000T amp. I just ordered 2 sets of TS-C720PRS components to be driven by a PRS-D4000F amp and ordered a DEH-P980BT with the Ipod interface CD-IB100II. Yes all Pioneer Premier.I have owned JL,Rockford,Kicker,Infinity,Polk and the list goes on. Don't knock it if you haven't heard it. You need to find a dealer that has this stuff and check it out.
Yes, amp the speakers! Stay with the Premier series. Better warranty and better components. I know some people will have something to say about this, but I've heard people in the auto stereo business compare the ts-c720prs components to Focal and they weren't Pioneer salesmen. These things are amazing.
