Front Components
I was looking at their reference line, the 2-way tweeter with 4" or 5"
either style (ultra shallow or regular) then I would get the matching add-a-woofer for a nice 3-way set.. RUA-210 or RUA-213 (shallow)
RVF-210 or RVF-213 along with RVF-164 ( Although the PCE-164 is CHEAPER)
Second,
How good are the ads 345cs??? I was looking at these as well, but they are only 5.25" and would it be worth adding a 6.5 mid bass?
I am thinking with the front of my vette I would install the midbass in the door, then the 4" or 5.25" with tweeter in the lower frame (OEM Location)
With the missing indent of the car being an 89 with a 91 interior the MB Quart might be a good way to go.. this way the crossovers (for the 3-way crossovers are build for the speakers)

The speakers are old Canton RS3's.
I would be looking at Focal or CDT... only because the MBQs have always disappointed me... they seem to be rather flat in response and to get anything out of them aways required custom crossovers.

Yeah I HAD those Cantons before.. but sold then when I got out of audio for a while.. what do you think of the 345cs from ads?? I found them for a Great price..
I actually found that with the 4 and tweet int he floor it sounds good, until a leg covers the sound. the door has more depth whcih is where the midbass in my car will go
if you can mount the tweets up high, that will also help fix the sound stage.
another thought would be to install the 4" and tweets into a baffle and fit them into the dash board. mount the baffle with a touch of angle forward (or wire them 180* out of phase, so the sound will reflect off the glass and hit in phase). Put the 6" in the door.
A final thought, Kale said that the doors on the C4 are a natural resonance chamber (like the rest of the C4, really!). The doors seem to amplify at about 160hz... he used a notch filter to bring that freq down a couple db.

Right 89... but it has a 91 DASH.. So I have to do a set-up like yours..
