So,I'm probably going to get an aftermarket radio for the vette. Are the speakers in my 05 6.5 inches all aorund and are they any good with say pioneer radios??How big can I go without cutting stuff ?Lastly,do the door panels have to come off for speaker replacement??Thanks.
With Penta being one of the few exceptions, stay away from Circuit city and Best Buy audio installers. If you want to buy there, go for it, But IMO you are better served working with an actual car audio shop for your install needs.

OK
I'll go to a strictly audio store and see what they have to offer.Thanks.
Why is best buy not good??Just curious.
Fej I like how u acknowledge me haha. For the most part the installers arent qualified to work on a vette or high end cars they arent farmiliar with whats involved and generally treat it like every other chevy and go to town on it. Now after saying that some BB and CC's have good installers and they will have pics of there work up in the shop to show for it.

you are also limited to the quality of components that they sell. for instance, they only sell the consumer line of pioneer equipment. while a dedicated stereo shop will sell the pro-sumer line
i agree, ask for previous installs of cars. You can also buy components of your stereo at cheaper and install them yourself. all the info you need is right here

I figured that!!I'm not sure if I trust myself enough to do a radio install on my own having not even attempted this since the 70's!!Radio's were a little different back then, but I guess wiring is wiring, wether it's the 70's or 06'!!
