i am new to this forum only about a month and i didnt even realize that there was a section on audio. thank goodness! i have been asking for some help on the tech page and i felt like a ghost. i want to put an amp and a woofer on my stock bose system. could someone tell me how? can i plug it in the factory harness? can i power the whole system or just a woofer? can the stock bose speakers handle outside power? any help and suggestion would be greatly appreciated! thanks
welcome to the forums. we first need to know what kind of car you have (which generation) and then we'd probably point you to the faq stickies at the top of the audio sub forum. what you want to do is doable...the ease of installation and integration depends on what gen you have.
the sound of the bose is fine for me. i just desire a little more base (not alot but more than the bose produces) and as far as corvettes go on budgets- i didnt know you could have one!
wanting to keep the stock system i dont want to overpower the base. i just want some good thump for the inside not interested in shakin the bolts out of it.

100 watt amp and a nice 10" sub in a sealed box would do the trick. Look in the C5 FAQ (sticky notes) on how to add this to the factory system.

Could also do 2 8" in the large compartment area. They might be a little more responsive and and less 'thumpish' if you are trying to find a nice match for the stock system. Just an idea, the 10" would also work.
