Here is an install I did for a buddy of mine. Big thanks to Audio Dave for the tutorial on the headunit install, def saved me a bunch of time, that I didnt have to spare. Lets get started shall we.
Here is an install I did last weekend in a 2006 Chevy Z06. I hope you guys like it.
you have to take out the entire center console and center dash to swap headunits out in this car. PITA!
Pioneer Avic-Z1, the baddest Headunit I have ever played with. It has everything! I also did an ipod adapter, the plug is located in the glove box.
Now for the good stuff! The box and amp rack. a pair of L7 10's sealed .925 per sub, with a kicker zx1500.1 and zx450.2.
Jigging up my trim panel. Made this an all one peice, as much as it sucked b/c of all the curves and having to be perfect around the subs and for the amps, but well worth it in the end for a clean look.
Finish wiring the amps, and wired and mounted the red neons. Kicker SS crossovers are monted to a board underneath the amp rack.
And now for the finished pics. The only thing I have left to do, is move the amps around just a little forward, so you dont see the MDF.The amps are just sitting there and arent screwed down. I just wanted to get some pics takin.
I honestly cant believe how good the Kicker SS components sound, Im amazed, one of the best sounding comps I have heard, and I have been installing for about 9 years. I compete in db drag and Iasca's spl divisions, and Im actually gonna take out my 8 sets of Kicker RS 652's, and put the SS's in place of them, b/c I was so impressed.
