This is a post over at the c5 general. they were talking about the car and looking through the pics, i noticed that this car only had one side of the door speakers modified. why would someone only do one door?

Maybe one of the other ridiculous, hideous, over-the-top modifications got in the way.....

it's called "side loading" it was experimented with a little back in the mid 90's. supposedly it to improved soundstage due to having the 'dominant' speakers' closest to the listener. I saw it one time on a car that had IB subs on the trunk lid.
