I am rebuilding the system in my showcar AGAIN and was wondering if I should use Dynamat in the trunk area and what the benefits would be. I basically have the car opened up at the shows with the audio/video system running all day off of a Stinger power supply and was wondering what the sound proofer would do. Thanks for all the help
Dynamat Extreme is very thin and appears to rank with the best of sound attenuators, but is pricier than some. There is no reason not to add it if things are going to be apart anyway.I have enough to do my whole C6 interior when I put in my new sound system, and have Crazy Cowboy's kit of precut insulator/sound barrier to add on top of that.Dynamat claims 3db just from doing the doors.Second Skin is another fine product.
Yes,I got 2 bulk kits for my C6( 64 sq.ft). I had previously gotten a door kit(12sq.ft.) as well from Crutchfield, but I think two bulk kits would probably do it,but be very close.
