Amp Power and Ground

Laying out my wiring. Running the 4G back to where I am mounting my amps and using a Raptor Power Distribution Block to go to 8G to each amp. Same thing for the amp ground.

I stripped about 1/2 inch of 4G to insert into power block but I don't think it is right that way.

Question:

Will the set screw in the power block penetrate the 4G shield for a good contact or do I need to strip some shield and tin the end with solder? If so should I just use rosin core?

you stip the insulation off the 4ga stick it in then lock the allen headdown onto the bare strands... this is the standardized way of doin it
