Sony Xplode?

Sony Xplode?
I really dont mind the factory system...all i am really doing is looking to have a radio with red backlighting. (I know thats a silly reason) What i found is a sony xplode that seems ok. will i be fine buying just the deck, or will i need speakers and all. i.e. for engine noise etc. let me know what yall think

Had 4 Sony Xplod's now - all of them failed in one way or another over a period of 5 years (different vehicles).

Alpine and pioneer both have customizable color options in several versions of their headunits. I know that the 983x had 330 or something color options for the HU lighting. I do not know for sure that the latest models have it however.

alpine, pioneer, kenwood any of those would work great please stay away from sony. You can change just the deck but in order to keep the stock bose subs you need an integration piece. I would recommen probally just upgrading the speakers to a 6.5 coaxial with a little deadening in the door. You will loose a little bit of bass though but sound quality will go up drastically.
