Everybody suggests placing sound deading on both panels, but as far as I can tell the door is molded into one piece so the only option is to go through the two rather odd shaped and smallish holes in the door. Seems pretty akward and difficult to get large pieces through at a time.
The holes are pretty big... behind the speaker and black rubber flap. It only took a few minutes for me to do the whole inside of the door. I cut them into 8" strips and layered them on.
you can also deaden the back side of the flat panel under where the DCM is, I have two layers on each side.
take off that black rubber piece and you'll blow through it. I actually removed the black piece and replaced it with a piece of deadened wood. this will require some cutting of the styrofoam on the door though.
