Pioneer AVIC-D3 Navigation

I believe the Pioneer AVIC-D3 Navigation Unit (due out in March 2007) will be a nice fit for the C4.

get the z1 now, its bad azz! i dont think the d3 features can compete with the z1.

Actually, the D3's iPod interface will be much better (full speed) and the illumination colors of the hard buttons AND the touch screen buttons on the D3 can be changed. The D3 will not have a HD, but it will be cheaper. Since one cannot directly copy MP3s to the Z1's HD (each CD must be ripped by the Z1), I prefer the better iPod connection. Also the D3s face plate is not motorized, which makes C4 installation easier.

There is something about an aftermarket stereo's blue illumination in a factory red illumination car that I can't stand. So until that is changed on the Z1 I'll pass.

The Z1 is nice, but I think the D3 will be a better, cheaper fit for me and my C4.

i heard the z2 will have the same ipod interface, and the z1 can be upgraded via software, but i hear ya on the hard buttons.
