C5 rattle

C5 rattle

I hear a rattle when I pound on the center of this area:

Is there a heatshield under there or something?

you know i noticed that rattle too. it wasn't there when i had my box in there but when i took it out i heard it.... that's all i know about it though.

Shoot EG a pm, he has his entire car apart and can tell you what USED to be there before the mods began .. if he can remember that far back

No heatshield - just the parking brake cables. They do not rattle.

What about those hard lines though. One of those loose could rattle.

They do not touch the fibreglass except in one spot - and they are isolated from the 'glass via rubber standoffs. They normally rest on the differential area.
