Awwwww…..crap!
I have some Image Dynamics CSX62, 6.5" component sets up front in the 6Ness and the mid in the passenger side door is cutting in and out. My first assumption is that it has a loose connection somewhere but when I used the fade and balance to isolate that door and listen to it cutting in and out, I could hear an occasional, slight…"farting" sound too. You know, kinda like a speaker sound when it's clipping, only I had the volume down very low and I know I don't have a clipping problem.
I will be taking the mid out to see if it has a connection problem. I'll do the same at the xover and amp ends of the line as well but I have this sinking feeling it might have a loose/separating voice coil due to the farting sound…….crap!
