Anyone have any suggestions on what I should get? The box has to allow for the top to stow away. Everything I look at is too big, and won't fit. Thinking about making, or having someone make a wedge sub box to face the rear hatch.
12" can be done. I built one that is 1.15 cubic feet. It also has an amp on either side that is recessed so that the top is flat all the way across. 3/4" MDF. It's 8 3/4 " high by 19" deep, and it goes from wheel well to wheel well. It's covered in vinyl that matches pretty close to the Cashmere. If I was a little smarter, I'd post a pic.

Man I wish you could, that is exactly what I want to do. May I ask where you purchased the vinyl? I haven't decided whether to try to match the cashmere or the carpet.
I would like to run from wheel well to wheel well, I have two amps, they would run on both sides of the sub box.
If someone could post it I'd be happy to e-mail it to them and then they could post it up.
By depth I meant front to rear of car. Only 8 3/4" high. Top fits with no problems at all.

I sent you a PM with my e-mail address this morning.
I like them. Don't think you could ask for more for the money. Like $1,000 for everything frrom start to finish, wires, speakers, amps, MDF, Vinyl, etc.
Looks really good. So basically the back of the box is touching the front seats, and the box at the base had to be stepped up about 3 1/4". Would you mind posting your measurements for the entire box.
I am having issues with developing a design that will accomodate the targa top and it being 1-1.25 cubic ft.
I have a diamond design now that will have the sub fire towards the hatch for the best baffle, just need to figure out how to calculate volume of a diamond. I am guessing just break it down into a rectangle and a triangle wedge
Of course I threw away the original plan I used to build this box. But I drew up another one that I'd be willing to fax or scan and email to some one if they wish to host it. Air space can be adjusted between 1 and 1.5 cubic feet. These measurments fit the ED 12" sub. depth. 8" depth. I left 1" air space below sub.
I emailed Iceman a detailed drawing of this box so that he can post it up here for forum brothers and sisters to duplicate for themselves. I got a lot of help from forum members so now I'm paying it forward.
Well all my wire is ran, my box should be finished this weekend, and I should have it all hooked up next weekend or the following. I will post pics when I have everything done. Thanks for all the help.
Ok got my box back and I am heading to get everything installed all my wire is ran just needs to be mounted and hooked up. Shouldn't take that long. Here are some pics of the box and yes the top will stow away. The guy that built the box did a wonderful job I am very pleased with it. So my system is:
