I have a 2003 C5 Z06 & plan on upgrading the 3.5" front speakers & 5.25 " rear speakers with some 2-way JL Audio speakers. I had no luck searching the forum to ascertain which speaker wires are the (+) and (-) in the factory connector. Since the stock speakers attach via a connector/harness, does anyone know which wire is the (+) and which is the (-) for the front & rear speakers? I plan on simply splicing some adapters to hook up the new speakers whenever I get them. Thanks a bunch.
You should be able to get the "plug in" harness adapters from any good sized audio shop. Plug the adapters into the car's speaker harness, and the other end should have the correct terminals for your aftermarket speakers.
For the front I dont exactly remember what it is for some reason I think its same colors on each side basically what you can do is look at the back of the stock speakers its plry market + or - and jsut follow that coresponding but if its not unhook the stock one and hook a 9 volt battery up to it it will either pop out or pull in, you want it to pop out then follow the designation on the battery the side the positive is hooked upto is positive, etc. I hope this makes sense.
Otherwise the info I have which may not correspont at all is
