The early C4 dashes are very square and semetrical... what about a custom installation of a pair of HLCD?

i'm not sure what the dash looks like but if you have the room and the ability to tune it...then i say go for it! if you can fit some 7" woofers in the doors, the seas woofers that i just picked up may tie in nicely with those

Yep. Bulky to install, but can be awesome. You have a single point source from say 600hz through to 20k+. I ran them way, way back when they first hit the car audio scene (cd1's I think from ID), they were fiberglass horns back then. If you have big feet and or drive a stick they can be a bit of an adventure.

Not sure how the bottom of the dash works in the c4 and how it tapers down into the foot well, but I am sure they could be done. Hell if you wanted to get creative they could be glassed into the dash with some matching covers and probably look great. Mine are in my attic somewhere .. I might have to break those out and mess around with them one of these days. I found the crossovers that came with them the other day even.
