Hello all, last night I took delivery of my MSM '05 w/Z51 and 6spd. I love this car! it's a freakin BEAST! big step up from the 98 TA LS1.
I did have a small problem this morning though. I got in the car, turned it on, and the radio came on but no sound came out the speakers, this persisted for a couple of miles then I pulled over, shut the car off, and turned it back on at which time the radio worked fine.
I'm hoping it was just cold (it got below freezing last night), but I'm not sure. This ever happen to you guys? Thanks for the help

Unfortunately it's not an unusual experience, I've read many similar reports over in C6 General. A "reboot" usually resolves the issue. I don't remember the wiring diagram(not sure if it's a data signal or a simple voltage trigger, knowing GM it's a serial bus signal), but basically what happens is the turn-on signal from the head to the amp gets lost or doesn't get sent. If it happens alot then you may want to get that car in before whatever warranty you may have expires, a few rare cases have required a replacement radio.
