After getting in touch with Smart Park (I-Connect) I found out that they now have an IPOD interface for the 07 C6. XM required. Also avail for other years.
The interface is part#GM LN31600(for 07). Direct from Smart Park's VP. I found two sources where it is available.
JP Customs (Texas)
Landmark Chevrolet (Texas) Landmark sells and installs (install is simple) Seeing as how a Chevy Dealer is doing these installs, these must be GM approved.http://www.landmarkchevrolet.com
This looks like it's the GM certified IPOD hookup.
I ordered mine through JP Customs $232 delivered.
Should get it in about 10 days. THere is a post in the General C6 forum about the install in a C6 Vert complete with pics.
I'll supply more info after I install mine.
THese units give TOTAL control of the IPOD, including ALL of your playlists while maintaining all other audio features including steering wheel controls.
THis is supposed to be a new unit with a LN prefix. It seems that the 07's have a LAN system of communication and this unit is supposed to work. we'll see soon enough.

Fcal,
Did you ever get the unit working in your car?

I would wonder as well. Because our cars do NOT use the GM LAN protocol for communication. Through '07 (and perhaps beyond, don't know yet) the C6's still use the older serial data bus. It is a common misconception that it's the LAN system just because it's an '07.
Dan, I put the unit in yesterday. Not overly impressed with it. Here's an honest summary:
1 Doesn't offer seamless control
2 The Nav screen doesn't change (like CD mode)
3 Song/Artist/Album info doesn't stay on screen
4 Controls can sometimes be erratic
5 Doesn't display song selection within playlists
It does offer limitless playlists, but I reinstalled my USA Vette11 in direct mode for now.
The supplier is going to check with the mfg and see what gives.
In the meantime, he offered to take the unit back.
Right now I will sit back and wait for the General to come out with his FIX.
Thanks for the unbiased review Fcal...I'm happy with my USA Spec pa11-vette iPod interface. Sounds great. I just wish, like you, it had total integration where the song/title info. would stay and it could show menus like your iPod has.
