back when circuit city carried profile they had a special on a cheap profile sub where you bought any amp you got 2 free, lets just say it wasnt too hot of a sub. the fosgate would even be better then that

What makes it a bad speaker? I just want to add 2 10" subs to my stock bose system. Is the quality ok?

its just not a well built speaker, very sloppy sounding. you are spending money on a box, wiring, and an amp might as well get a half way decent sub or subs.
this is a nice cheap 12
http://sonicelectronix.com/item_7494.html actually a really nice speaker. you would want the 400sx then instead of msx.
for 2 10s
http://sonicelectronix.com/item_1721.html these are actually pretty nice ive used the 12" version in 3 diff cars all with good results
generally 1 12 will be less money then 2 10s and output will be the same generally speaking. you best bet IMO is the 12" eclipse or this mtx
http://sonicelectronix.com/item_8293.html both good speakers

Yeah, those phoenix Gold subs are nice! I am kinda partial to the ZR10's. I think he is going with some infinity 1050's which should sound really good also!

ok go with the 400msx or if you can swing the extra 20 dollars the ca600m swings another 125-150 watts rms which would push those 2 10s even harder.
IMO it would be cheaper to just go with a single 12" but its all up to you

I got 2 Infinity 1050w's 10" for $100.
See my other post for the parts list update.
I also decided to keep the rear speakers, but changing them out.
