Well, this morning I drove the car and listened to my ipod, which I used the ipod2car product you can purchase at bestbuy.com for $99, was not fully functional.
When the car was at an idle, parked or at slower speeds it worked fine through all of the speakers, but when I was driving, it was on coming out of the left speakers. The radio and cd player worked fine, so I asked a audio guy here at work and he believes it is because it is being transmitted in mono vice stereo. Or, the transmitter box is not close enough to the head unit?
All connections were tight. Is this something common? Any ideas where to go from here? I do know that when it is working 100% correctly, it rocked!
weird. I didnt have that happen with my unit. I wonder if you have a bad unit. also, you cna try to unplug the unit from power(the interface box itself) and reconnect it. It may just need to relearn. Also, did you make sure that your dip switch settings are for your car?

Yeah, I am going to check the connections. I just drove it and it seems to be a problem when the car goes over bumps, which tells me that something maybe loose. The radio is working fine, so all speakers are good. I will figure it out.
I would return the BB stuff and get an auxbox. Very easy to install and has a direct connection to the radio. The box is only around 40 bucks. I mounted the iPod Nano bracket in our useless cupholder for 2 dollars.
I used the adapter bracket glued to a plastic ring. The Nano is held in place by the adapter and the jack, and it easily controled from the driver's seat.

Mine connects directly into the radio too. I will keep this in mind if things don't change.
I seriously don't know how you guys and those AUDIO installers do this AUDIO "poop", because this simple install has really irritated the heck out of me.
I was able to get everything working, so I drove the car, everything worked, even my scan button on the radio, which meant that my antenna was doing it's job (was in and out before). Went home, put everything back together and the antenna doesn't work properly. I messed with it for 30 minutes with no prevail, so I just put everything together. At least I can manual tune in channels I like and my ipod works fine, so that is good.
Seriously, I know that car AUDIO/STEREO will not be a job I do when I retire.
Everything is hooked up properly, I checked and rechecked, I think it is a short in the connection.
Well, now the right side speakers are not working, so I think it is the unit. I am probably just going to take the IPOD2CAR back, I believe it has a short.
Frustration is not even a good word for what I have gone through.
Micah
Sorry to hear about your frustrations, but unfortunately you are not the first. There have been a few people that have had bad units and from what I hear, they are very good at replacements. You don't even know how many times I've had my dash out trying to get the search function to work from the HU. I gave up and just bought a new HU with ipod integration and that sucked too
