Well, it took two transmitters (first one was bad) and ordering an alternate cord, but things are done.
First, I purchased the ipod2car and PXHGM4 cord from cardomain.com. I ran the cord from my ipod2car back from the head unit (transmitter box underneath the Climate Controller) to my armrest console. Here is a picture of the ipod laying in the armrest, notice the small hold I made to run the connector into the armrest:
I purchased some FROST KING at LOWE's for $15 and ensured that the tunnel under the armrest and console were insulated really well to prevent the heat from bothering my wiring. If you noticed I allowed enough cord to be available to be able to remvoe the ipod while connected so I can do as I want with my music.
Everything is working perfectly and thanks to the help of several members that hang out here in AUDIO, I was able to finally get this done.
Seriously, it is something I thought about yesterday after cruising around.
haha, told you so. i started in the same spot you did. added an ipod, then it was adding a sub, then it was changing the speakers, then it was an overhaul. now ive changed amps for my setup
