Default Anyone Experience This?

I just got a new AVIC-D2 installed in my C6. I LOVE THIS THING!

Background:
-The D2 was professionally installed.
-ONLY swapped out the factory unit with the D2.
-Car does NOT have BOSE system.

Here's my problem:
When i turn the car off, the back speakers emit a pretty loud POP. Sounds kinda of like a surge of power hitting the speakers.

The installer fixed this pop by moving the power wire to the amp to a non-accessory wire.

However, b/c they did this, when i turn the car off i no longer have sound as SOON as i turn the car off. I also can not play any music while the car is in Accessory Mode Only.

This is pretty frustrating considering the money i have put in to this thing.

Does anyone know of a solution to this problem??? I've never seen these kind of issues with aftermarket stereos...

Did your installer use an interface like the PAC or Peripheral units that retain accessory power and chimes to connect the Pioneer to the stock amp?I am a mere neophyte compared to many on this forum, but one of these seems to be common to most posters' installs. I have an AVIC-D2 waiting to be installed, though I'll be running it to a pair of aftermarket amps, and rewiring for component speakers.I'll be very interested to see how this pans out.I am glad to hear that you love it. Good luck!

There's a now longish thread I have going with speedmd in C6 General (perhaps a mod should move it to this section) that started out with noise issues (he had speaker level connections to the stock amp) and after he straightened that out the same popping noise issue appeared. What creates that popping noise is the head unit shutting off before the amp.

As BlackMark describes, a unit like the Peripheral GMRAP theoretically can solve this, but I suggested speedmd try it and he hasn't had much luck. I haven't determined for sure that he's got it wired correctly yet, but I think he does and it's still popping. Even though the head power is now being triggered by the same RAP signal as is controlling the amp the capacitors in the amp must be keeping power to the amp slightly longer than the head, so the pop still results. Here's the thread:

Now that the installer has moved the power on the stock amp if you were to install something like the GMRAP you'd have to have that changed back to it's original power location as well. That's assuming it even accomplishes the goal.

Honestly though.. you're a little bit pregnant on the install.. you've got a good head unit, you should seriously consider going the rest of the way and installing good speakers and an amp to go with it. That would solve the problem right there. Money fixes everything, right?

I appreciate the info! I think i'm going to take this sucker apart and try to figure it out myself with the advice ya'll have given me instead of relying on the installer any longer.

Thanks!
