Hey everyone i am new to this forum and new to the corvette world buying my 1st vette about a week ago. I am a pretty competent guy when it comes to car audio as far as wiring up systems go and making them sound pretty good. My problem is my jobs are kind of sloppy visually, and spacially, and with a vette i cannot do that becaue there is no room. Im not worried about what brands to put in or any of that i just have a few questions on space. I have 6 12" xtants lying around my room they came out of my old car. Now i know i cant fit 6 but is there anyway to get a 12 in there and still be able to fit t-tops, and also any good prefabes 6x9 boxes? Any help and or pictures would be greatly appreciated
Thanks, Jared
My C3 is an '80 so I don't have any experience without the fastback glass but I have to believe if you put the 6x9's in the rear the ONLY place you're going to have room for a sub is the trunk.
hmmm. not much room in the back for 6x9 boxes, a 12" sub and t-tops. Its gonna be tough. I would skip the 6x9 boxes in the back and maybe get some kind of speaker kick panel pod. If I remember right, they do make kick panels for the c3's so you can put speakers there. When I had my c3 space was tight as it is back there with the tops in. Maybe also think about going to a 10" sub. I know you have extra 12's laying around, but it just may be too big. Best thing would be to build a box for the 12" with the right amount of airspace required. and test fit to see if the tops would fit or not.
