I jumped in the car Saturday after an almost 3 week "to busy to drive period" threw in the ipod drove off and within 10 seconds got that something doesnt sound right feeling.
Bass sounded real muddy. So I programed up some rap, White Trash Renagde to be specific, to check things out pumped up the volume a little and it was awful. Had that blown speaker sound. Finished my drive in silence and went home. Tried adjusting my levels, gains eq setting nothing helped.
Went back several hours later and found my eq on my ipod was set to bass boost. Changed ipod eq back to off and stereo came back to life. What a relief.
Yeah the iPod equalizer makes a huge difference. I have mine set to "bass reducer" and then I adjust my vette's audio controls. Sounds great then. Any other setting is almost too much bass and sounds crappy.
