here is a pic of the amp rack in place along with the sub box i made. its all covered in light grey vinyl to match and yes the top will still fit back there when removed.[IMG][/IMG]
here is the sub box. it holds two 10 rockford fosgate HX2's. the gray pieces are seperate covers that were wrapped then screwed together with brackets to attach theem to the box. i do not have the last cover that goes in front of the box quite finished yet. it will be removable to store lil items.
What do you guys think?
Looks good. When the top is in there, will the subs be covered? I guess that's the only down side; when you most need the subs to thump, they'll be muffled. Or maybe they'll pound so hard the top will dance. Good work.

Im not sure yet since none of this is hooked up yet, but i'll let ya know what effect it has on the sound.
Thanks! i learned it all from a buddy who helped me with the sub box and the major trick is a heat gun and a real good vinyl like this that gets super stretchy when heated.
Ok here is the "finished" look. i just need to get a piece of plexi with the corvette logo etched on it for the cover in front of the sub box. it will be backlit with blue neon or leds. I'm really happy with the way it sounds.
