hooking up my first amp...
im in the process of determining everything i need to wire up my amp, and ive figured everything out except one thing.
the installation guide shows that it requires 2 30amp fuses. will 1 60amp fuse work for this? im haveing a hard time finding a kit that comes with 2 30amp fuses.

something else thats come to mind now that ive done some searching. i cant seem to find any 2x fuse cases listed on crutchfield. do i need to some how connect 2 single fuse holders together to get this to work right?

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong here but I don't believe that two 30 amp fuses equal a single 60 amps one. If they are placed in a series connection on a single line they will blow at 30 amps. If you are looking to protect the piece of equipment you would always go with the recommended or if not readily available one of smaller value.

I think he was misinterpreting what the directions said. I think scott_fx got him straightened out.

I done remember seeing anytihng like that before. Can't see why they would do it unless they thought it enhaced the fast or slow blow characteristics of the fuses. Wired in parallel as they are it will still give you 60 total amp capacity. But if one blows the other will also blow instantly.
