Default Amp Mounting

Could you guys share some of your amp mounts with me? I'm looking to be as stealthy as possible (although if I went with an external amp I"d probably get a big 'ol 5 channel). My thought would be to mount it behind either the drivers or passengers seat anyone done this yet? Thanks

yeah tons of people have. some people just screw it into the carpet which actually works really well otherwise, u need to use liquid nails or something liek that to adhere a piece of wood under the carpet to the back wall then screw into the board. also watch where you mount it make sure you leave room to snap the panels back in near the amp

I used silicone to attach 1/2 MDF under the carpet and then screwed to the MDF. Silicone is strong enough to hold the piece but allows you to remove it later. Liquid nail will be a little more tough to remove later.

I also mounted behind the seat, but just used velcro. It's mounted on a slant, weight sits on the floor so I haven't had any issues.

ah, thanks for the responses. I actually have a C6, although I'm sure it would work the same as in all of those C5's, right? Thanks again!

You can also mount and drill your mounting holes ahead of time and countersink machine screws from the underside of the board out.You can then remove and replace the amp at will with no degradation of the mounting holes, and it is a stronger mount for a large amp then the wood screws from the outside.

Good point. Something to remember if you remove amps frequently.
