Well I finally got everything hooked up but Im not getting any power. I have a yellow top optima and the car is attaced at the side terminals and I attached the amp to the top. When I use a meter and touch the top pos and neg it reads 12.xxx volts, so it should be ok correct? I tried the meter on top of the fues with the little prongs are, and also looked at my amp but no light is on. Its grounded inbetween the floor and the seat rail too.
Yep I got the PAC to connect it to the head unit. My buddy who knows a little more that me just looked at it with me. Looks like the power is getting stopped at the 60 fuse in the bay. Its in tight and its not blown. Should I try and replace it anyways or is that a sign of something else?
I'm assuming that you do have an energized trigger wire. From what you said it sounds like the simplest answer is a problem with either the fuse itself or the connections associated with it if current is not flowing thru that circuit. I would test your positive cable for continuity between the battery and the amp to verify. Another posibility is a nicked cable or a loose connection with a dead short.
