Default How much 4ga wire to do "big 3" (searched)

Hey, I was going to do the big three but was wondering how many feet of 4ga wire I need. Anybody know? I looked through a bunch of the other threads but couldnt find a length. Thanks,

I used about 13ft i think. From the alt to the battery, chasis ground to battery, and block to chasis ground.

For the block to chasis ground I used the passenger side. There a couple tapped holes in the head and I just attaached to that to the chasis ground. I'll try to snap some pics tonight.

it all depends on how you route the wiring thats all. In the tech tips section, the guy is running cable in front, which will make it longer. I just ran my cable behind the motor. Shorter run and i was able to hide it under the fuel rail covers. Also the motor to chasis ground I picked a different location as well making that run maybe a foot if that.

Okay, so I have my 4ga wire to do the Big 3. Now do I just add to what the stock system already has or do I remove the stock stuff and replace with the new stuff? Thanks,

Keep the stock stuff. The power will find the path of least resistance. The stock will serve as a back up to your work.
