Anybody know?
I'm putting Elemental Design eDi 6000s V.2 components in the doors. I made my plates last night out of .625" mdf. My question is will the crossover (1.4" thick) fit behind the door panel, or will I have to mount it on the back side.
One other question. Should I put something between the plate and the mounting surface on the door?

i used rope caulk from home depot between my plate and door. You can always just double side tape it and see if it would fit. Thats where I put mine adn it fits. If its close you can just remove some of the styrofoam there to make it fit.

you can use the caulking, you can use sound deadener and foam (like ensolite), or you can go to the extreame and use non hardening modeling clay and completely decouple your speaker plate from the door. I have a few pounds of the clay laying around my house waiting for that phase of my installation (unless i opt to 'display' the components since the modeling clay looks pretty ugly
