my windows are lightly tinted and with the cargo shade pulled you can't see it thanks for all the compliments

Looks pretty deep but it obviously fits.

Did you take out the liner from the storage compartment, or does the sub-box slip in?

yes I removed the cloth liner from the storage compartment. the sub box/amp box just slips in place. I tried to get as much air space as I possibly could for the 10 inch sub

My 91 doesnt have a cloth liner in the bin, its just plastic, don't know if its removable ... will have to dig a little.

I'm definitely leaning towards building something just like this. I appreciate all the pics, and info. How does that headunit look installed?

mine had a plastic container type liner also. I removed the complete door assembly over both compartments, just 10 screws. here is a pic of when I was installing some sound deadner, with the cover removed
