I held out as long as I could but a few months ago I changed over my stock radio/cassette player in my Honda to a Sony CD player. Yeah, welcome to the 90's
It's just that I have so many cassette tapes that I either customized or recorded off my stereo, I just didn't want to lose them. But since I also have so many CD's, I finally changed over as the new CD player has an "AUX" input that I've been told I can connect up a tape cassette player. So here's the question.(about Damn time )
Where can I get a portable cassette player with the appropriate cable to connect up to my CD player.
Does anyone even make a portable cassette player...and if they do it
most certainly wouldn't have an eq'd output jack. You'd have to use
mini to rca plug.
Me suggests you give it up allready and learn to rip music off the net....
I can't DO it either, but I unnersand it's easy....
good enough for a car anyway...what with all the noise and all....
toss those cassetts.....I did some 12++ years ago....no make that 20 years ago....
My problem is many songs I like are on my cassette tapes and I have no idea what the name or artist is. I mean I have been burning other songs off the Internet and am pretty much caught up with everything I like. But there's still a boatload of songs on my cassettes that I can't get anywhere else.
Come on guys. Help a **** out.
If you have a cassette deck, this is a damn handy little device, it is a turntable, yes, but it has an 1/8" input for other sources and it connects to your computer via USB to digitaly record the audio: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...ace?sku=801258

Hmm, I just went out to the car with a set of headphones. The connector of the headphones seems to plug right into the "AUX" input. But now it seems I need a cable that will not only plug into a portable cassette player but also into the "AUX" input. And that seems to mean both ends of the cable are the same? I'll check with radio shack and Circuit City for such a cable.
Thanks for all the help.
You might find that the output jack on your tape player is too high level for the AUX input and you get lots of distortion. In this case you can use either a potentiometer to cut the level down or two resistors in a divider configuration to reduce the tape output.
You could buy a cd burner for your home audio, I did this a long time ago.. don't even have the cd burner anymore, but I put all my LP and cass on to cd.
You know I have'nt looked at home audio cd players or burnners sence I switched to my PC for burnning witch was years ago you
might have to go to a pawn shop to find one.
