So i'm trying to figure out the best location for my amp to my sub box in the rear. Also i'd like ot know how you mounted it.

i'm considering either behind the seat or ON the rear flat against the rear deck. BUT i dont know how yall have those mounted in these locations.

Pictures with info would be appriciated {bad imaginiation}

Underneath a non-power z06 passenger seat. However I am not that cool to post a link so check my corvette photos.

I personally like the back wall for the coupe for amps. Racks are always nice as well. Pick an amp under 15"x9"x2.25" and you can fit under the non power seat (carefully .. mine is only 1.5" high and 17" long and BARELY fits).

All depends on your goal for the system, how stealth you want it to be, your skill set, or your comfort with the al'mighty $$$.

liquid nails a board up, then screw it through the carpet. Your gas tank is behind it, so dont pierce through the board!

I siliconed an MDF board to the body, just in case I wanted to take it off later. Liquid nails may never come off. IMHO.

Then just bolt the amp down to the siliconed MDF.

I went ahead and drilled mounting holes for 4 bolts on the corners. the holes are so small that the untrained eye will never find them. I ONLY did this to the rear wall because access behind the panel was easily done through the taillight holes.

OK, I glued a piece of 1/2" MDF to my back wall, and am ready to mount my amp. I had planned on running the ground to the passenger seat bolt like so many have posted. However, I unpacked my amp kit from knukonceptz, and the ground wire is only three feet long. After a little research, I read that grounds should be kept as short as possible. So, for amps mounted on the back wall, is there another convenient (within three feet) ground location?

Thanks,
Kirk

I ran my ground wire thru the back wall and into the rear end clip's cavity where the tail light wires are.

I then bolted the ground wire to the frame and covered it in sealant.

No vid screens. Those are my Xovers. I decided to keep them in a group for easy access and adjustment....not to mention they look cool. The only real downside is that i had to run longer speaker wires.
