I just bought Nora Jones's newest CD "Not Too Late" and it sounded terrible in my Vette.
I first played it on my Pioneer home stereo which sounded great, then I played it in my "91" C4 Vette and it sounded terrible!
The left side 5 1/4" infinity Kappa component speaker had a bad buzz in it at either low or high volume. At first I thought, it was the door, dash or speaker enclosure buzzing but, after about 15 minutes of pressing on different panels and adjusting the receiver settings, I came to the conclusion it was just how the CD was recorded.
I put in other CD's (Van Halen, Old school rap, Jazz) and they all sounded Great!
Has anyone else experienced this buzzing? Maybe, my audio system is just sensitive to the way this particular CD was recorded. Thanks
Try it on a good set of headphones, then you will know for sure. You can also switch left and right channels on your amp to see if the problem stays or follows
Maybe it just plays a frequency that you have a bad ratlte at
for example, Metallica's bass guitar spends a lot of time <exactly> where my door panel resonance is, so it sounds pretty weird.
