Here are a couple pictures of my system. I absolutly love the way it looks, but I am wondering if it will sound better if I install a 5/8 inch piece of wood about 1 1/2 inch away from the subs. That way the bass can bounce off of the wood causing a better sounding bass. What do you think?

Looks good. If you put a board that close to your subs, you might end up with some problems. In what way do they sound bad? I find crossing subs over just a 'bit lower' helps.
Well, Ive had a dodge truck and a ss camaro forever and in each one i had a system. In the camaro the subs were about 3 inches from hatchback and the subs sounded so great bouncing off that glass. in my truck i had a box that was custom made to fit right behind my seat and it had a piece of wood going ove rthe sub.. heres a crappy pic of the sub i had in my truck that sounded awsome. kinda the same idea i had for the box in my vette with the 4 tens..
definatly looks awesome. My only concern would be a lack of Airspace. what you might want to consider is wiring the inner two subs out of phase. This would cause the inside subs to fire inversly with the outer subs in theory giving you a more powerful sound.
when I turn up the volume the subs sound like they are almost blown.. you know that sound that it just feels like you need to turn it down. the subs and the amps are brand new and just can't get the sound im looking for.

i'm not sure i know exactly what you mean.. do you have a website with a diagram or something.. I would love to try it.

How much power are you giving them, and what are they rated for RMS?
Sounds to me like they are either under powered, or you are just trying to drive them too hard.
Well, i know they are the d3 amps. I am not sure what model exactly though. I was wondering since I have two amps I should be able to test to see if it is underpowered. My subbox is in two chambers. 2 10s in each chamber. If i hook up one amp to just one of the subs and the other amp to the other sub I should see what the difference is with the more power. Here is a pic of how the speaker wire is hooked up to the amp right now.. this is how they did it when i got it installed..
Is that wired to the negative of 1 &2 and negative of 3 & 4 ??
Theres just those two wires going to the amp. it goes ( ) (x) ( ) (x) x is for where the speaker wire is connected.. I'm not sure which is negative or posative.. the other amp is wired up different. it goes
( ) (x) (x) ( ) ... whats going on here.. was it suposed to be wired this way?

Typically, it would be wired like this when bridging:
(x) ( ) ( ) (X)
+ - + -
So you have the positive from channel 1, and the negative from channel 2.
That makes it one big circuit, so you get the power out of both channels.

So, I will change that wiring tomarow. Am I going to need to take the box out and check the wiring inside the box? Or, if i just change the wiring like you said I should be fine and hopefully get a better sound?
Honestly, I wouldn't suggest changing anything around before you check the owners manual for what it says on bridging, and checking the wiring on the subs.

To make sure you dont run in to any problems.
Will check it all out first thing tomarow. Gotta find manual now.. lol.. Will post update tomarow!! THANK YOU
