I'm considering a 1LT 08 Coupe.
Does anyone know if the GM interface avail for 05-07 for controlling the iPod will work with the 08 HU? I understand the new HU has an analog input for MP3s, etc, but I prefer something that charges the iPod and has interface integration with the HU.

In general though, don't count on factory systems to give you want you want. Plan on pulling the head and putting in an aftermarket system. The dash opening in the C6 fits double DIN heads very nicely and that gives you tremendous flexibility for things like iPod interface, NAV, etc.

Thanks for the info...the LAN system will only open up the door for more AM products. That is cool...
My goal with the 08 is lightweight and autocross focused...
However...
Back in the day on this very forum with my 01 C5 I did...

Rockford G600a5
JL 10W6 in a custom glass enclosure hidden in the well, then experimented with a flipped 8W3 in the outer compartments
DynAudio MK240s in MDF panels in the doors
This culminated a string of systems in my 2 Buick GNs, Monte Carlo SS, Civic SI and even a 71 MGB GT.
I still own the B and fired up its old school Alpine HU, Rockford 400.4, Kicker Competition 8 (in a custom 'glass enclosure in the battery compartment) and Boston "old school" Rally RC41s last night...still brings a smile to my face for something so simple.
