I am going to install a system here soon with a JL 13W3 V3 and Focal’s in the doors and a Alpine PDX-4.150 amp pushing it all. My question is this. I have the stock exhaust right now. I hate the stock tips so need to replace those fast. I am thinking about doing the B&B Bullets. But if I put that exhaust on is it going to overpower my audio system and make it where its going to be annoying? Or should I just get some chrome corsa exhaust tips to make it better in appearance and be able to enjoy the sound system? Or do both and it won’t be a problem?

Thanks guys, tough challenge to have I know.

You have enough power in the audio system that you'll hear it over the exhaust, but it's Bullets, so you're gonna NEED that power. I've never been in a car with Bullets but they are reportedly amongst the loudest out there and drone is always a concern with loud exhaust. Think you gotta pick your poison and this is way more about the exhaust than the audio.

So you say go with the exhaust and the audio will still sound good? I do know exhaust is a better mod for the car as far as power gain and HP. I do need to hear the Bullets and make sure that is what I want. I have heard the audio clips but not live and in person.

Thanks

I have the Corsa Ti system, which is one of the louder Corsas. There is a bit of low frequency sound coming from them which effects bass, but my subwoofer (idmax bridged on rear channels of a PDX 4.150) completely obliterates it.

IF I take the final mufflers off of hte Corsa Ti (off road configuration, using only the twin midpipe resonators) my system still drowns them out fairly well, at least under 3000 rpm.

Of course, if I crank my system I cant hear ANYTHING else, but that's not exactly safe for your ears.

Go for both and add some deadner/foam. Also, cat backs don't add anything in hp to our cars as the stock is pretty free flowing. You can always go with the ti z06 exhaust for some added sound and weight reduction. Only real gains are from straight pipe exhausts and that is just out right loud. You have a nice list of components that will sound great

I have borla stingers and i've heard that B&B bullets are even louder. I used Second Skin's "overkill pro" foam on the wall behind the seats and the entire cargo area and it DRASTICALLY reduced the exhaust sound.

I had bullets on my c6 and had to remove them for this very reason. I loved the sound, but the resonance destroyed the SQ of system.
I didn't feel justified not being able to hear every last detail out of my $700 components.
