I ran the power wire down the passenger side, so I wanted to run both speaker wires from the doors down the driver side. This sounded so simple. I looked for an easy path to thread the wire from the passenger side over to the driver side somewhere under the dash behind the radio, hvac, etc., but it looked almost solid! Is there an easy place to thread this through?
Also, the cable that connects to the positive terminal of the battery is a hard plastic, with a short bolt molded into it. Is this normal? I tried to unscrew the bolt from the plastic housing -- no luck. I tried to push the bolt out through the plastic, but could not get it out (and I didn't want to tear it up). Does this just pop out? I ordered a different bolt from knukonceptz, but it hasn't come in yet.
there are 2 places to route, you can go over the tunnel on the back wall. or you can route under the center console/under the radio. Its a little more difficult trying to find openings but they are there.
Not sure what you are talking about with the battery, do you have a pic?
I just finished my install and faced both your issues. I ran the driver door speaker wire along the left sill and the right up the middle under the console and over from there. No problem. The battery thing does just pop out with enough force.
For the speaker wire, IMO the best route is along the door sill, in the crease where the floor and the wall behind the seats meet, then up and over the tunnel along the wall.
The behind the dash option might cause the carpet to look a little funny on the sides of the tunnel depending on the wire type you're using.
