I've decided that as long as I've got my dash apart for some other work it would be a perfect time for an audio upgrade. It's an 01 ZO6. So far I've got my speakers:
Fronts - Focal K2 165 kf
Rear fill- Focal 130 CV1
I'm looking for the sub next and I'm leaning toward the JL 10 W7 and the Alpine 1.600 to drive it. Corvette Car Audio has a raised sub box for the rear compartment that I think will work for it. Does this sound like a good match?
I think the Alpine 4.150 would be a good amp to drive the Focals and I like how compact they are.
I'm still unsure of the HU. Leaning toward the Pioneer DEH-P980BT
Any thoughts/input is appreciated.

Very good choice of front stage. I suggest not running rear full-range speakers, especially in a car like a Vette. Any rear speakers without a surround-sound processor (ie Dolby, DTS) will only pull the soundstage towards the rear. Just my opinion.

I agree, I'd skip the rear speakers, or just go inexpensive if you /have/ to.

But in any case. Nice gear. Where are you goingto put the tweeters?

The rear speakers might be a little bit of a waste but theyre not that expensive and I like the sound envelope that they provide. Soundstage is not all that important to me as I do my critical listening on my home system. In a perfect world I would put the tweets in the A pillars and have them recovered in vinyl or a carbon fiber wrap but I'm not sure how that would work out with the double gauge pod I'm using on the drivers side so they'll probably end up in the doors on an adaptor plate. Any suggestions for a better placement? Maybe high in the pillars?
I know this system will not be optimized for great sound but it should be a nice improvement over the Bose setup.

Focal tweeters are best 2" above the gauge hump, firing directly at each other.
