CD player "skips"
when I hit a bump or pot hole in my vette, the C D player will skip occasionally.is there any sugestions how I can stop this or at least reduce this problem? the C D player is the factory installed unit with the bose system. :chevy :flag (stars and stripes forever)

Make sure all the screws that are suppose to be there holding it in place are there! :yesnod: Ours did this after we got it and I found ALL :eek: of them to be missing!

Buy a CD player with ESP. The stock system doesn't have Electronic Skip Protection. This is where the CD stores 3-5 seconds of music before it plays it back. If it detects a gap because the CD skipped from a bump, it goes back and resamples that section and gives you interuption free playback. Most current CDs have this feature. There is really nothing you can do to improve the stock setup but you can replace the system with a CD with this feature.
