Thanks Scott, for all of the help, ideas and kind words. I am really happy with the looks, I really wanted a clean look. And, that was going to be hard to do with the amp rack poised menacingly behind . But, you don't really even notice it. I was contemplating a couple of small neon tubes, but I like the surprised look when people notice it (somehow a little stealthy like the rest). You would think the chrome would create a lot more attention.

If it ever gets redone, it will be a PC...more of your demons .

I rarely listen to CD's. I can't believe how good the ipod sounds. I really can't tell a difference between the quality of the two (and I thought I was a junior audiophile). Of course, it is usually at levels.

I agree. I can't tell the IPODs analog source (pioneer ipod adapter) from a CD on my Pioneer's burr brown.

IPOD has an excellent built in DAC.
