I'm around $1800 with 3 amps 3 subs 1 rear 12 and 2 8's in the door and seperates. If I didn't buy a $550 mp3 deck it would've been a few hundred less.

I guess the originator of this link never got his question about replacement speakers answered as well as he would have liked. Just as we got started talking about speakers, the link degraded into a junk the HU argument.

If you plan on keeping the stock HU, then you need to map out what you want the system to do. With the BSP in the system, your new front and rear speakers will never get anything below 1khz sent to them. Any new speakers need to have good midrange and high frequency response. A set of tweeters that point at the occupants heads would be a big boost. You need to say exactly how you want to modify the system to get accurate comments.
