Need a little help
I am hoping someone has a suggestion for a place to located a HU mount (single din) for my 05 silverado. I have one on order from humount.com that I placed on May 20th. I was told that the mount left on the 23rd or 24th, but having spoken with the owner several times apparently there is no means of tracing this package (from Canada) once it hits customs. At this point I am pretty pissed off, and looking at possible solutions to my problem as the owner said if it was not here by tomorrow he would refund me or offer to make me a new mount.
I do not have 3+ weeks more to wait to get my damn truck back on the road, deadening work is done, the new system is in place, and my mf'n HU is sitting in the dash on top of a WD40 cap!
So I am hoping to find some alternatives as I work with wood, not metal heh.

Looks like you should be able to go to BB or CC and grab a cheap install kit. According to Car Domain the Scosche GM1583 fits and if Scosche has one you know that Metra et al will have one too.

I was hoping to avoid the crap plastic double din to single din fix ... apparently someone in the US with a cnc machine needs to start making these ... I have one other option I will have to talk to my fabricator friend .... damnit
